Ok so I am hooked on the showtime series "The Tudors". It's placed in the 1500's and follows King Henry's reign. Anyway, I convinced my husband to watch the first season because I knew he would enjoy it. Then the funniest question arose as he is watching an 'intimate' scene.... "So did woman shave their legs and armpits back then?".... I knew the answer was no but wanted to do some research online to see when and why it was required to have smooth legs and arms. I learned this was not common until around 1915. The best link that describes how this trend began is http://ask.yahoo.com/20060210.html Thank goodness I'm a woman in the 21st century!. I know my husband is too, LOL he said he couldn't imagine a time when woman didn't shave
Cheers all =^..^=

I wonder why God put hair anywhere but our head anyway. The Bible says a woman's long hair is her glory and it was given to her as a covering, but I'm sure it was talking about her head.
Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: Hebrews 12:14
But, if we had never started shaving in the first place, you wouldn't even know we were tarantulas! Maybe you'd think leg hair was sexy! LOL I wonder if we had never started shaving in the first place, if we'd now have hair accessories for our legs???
Spiderwoman shaves the whole enchilada... but seriously folks. Have you ever had a g/f who had a 3 or 4 day stubble? It's enough to make a grown man cry........and scratch....;=)~
