Theft in the area.

I would just like to alert everyone to what appears to be a hot spot for vehicle burglary. I know of 4 burglaries in and around Red Lobster. We were advised that there are many cars broken into while parked behind Red Lobster. I don't know how many "many" is. Could be one or ten. The last one that I know of was at the car dealer next to Red Lobster. While a relative was in the car dealership someone broke her window and took some personal items. All of these burglaries happened in broad daylight.

I personally will stay away from this area.

Free4all, what part of Lakewood are you in? Reason I ask is because I live in Lakewood too.

Always be on the look out for the bad guys where ever you live.

Sad  RE: Theft in the area.

Red Lobster's main headquarters should be contacted about all the thefts taking place there, maybe they'll hire a security officer, they really need to. It's also happening at all the other restaurants in that area. Rule of thumb is to never leave any items visible for the thugs to see, otherwise you are just asking for trouble. Sad

RE: Theft in the area.

If I had the area as a police chief I could catch a few of them easy. I think the money is in seatbelt tickets. They are after money not criminals. You can spend about 100 bucks on a video camera and put it up on a pole in the area and it can not be seen.. But that is not the way things are done. You sit along a street and catch a seatbelt violation and grab a quick 150 bucks. Besides you can bet most stolen things end up in the pawnshops around the area and that is part of the Baytown industry.Pawnshops,Banks and fast food. But the greatest industry is drugs.
