BYS,

Because you chose to ONLY copy my response I'm going to assume you are directing this post to me. Unfortunately, I'm not concerned with what you think in this matter. If Ed has the right to post views and ideas that are directly offensive to me and others I have the right to point that out. If Ed has the right to directly insult my faith and to *passive aggressively* insinuate that I am not a true American or Christian (that is a personal attack of the lowest form) I most definitely have the right to defend myself and I will without hesitating.

Unlike you and Ed, I am not passive aggressive. I am direct. If I have something to say I will say it no matter if it is popular on this board or not. I am not here to collect friends. My conclusions are not without merit as I could not have made them if I had not read Ed's words. I do not apologize for the adjectives I used to describe the bulk of his ideas and demeanor because that is all that he showed the board. Perhaps he is not accustomed to women standing up to him and forcing him to take a dose of his own bitter, rotten medicine. Whatever the case may be, thankfully, it's not my problem. My conclusions were also substantiated on this very thread by another member of the board.

Lastly, If it's not just me that would describe Ed in this manner, but several people, perhaps the issue isn't with me.

I was not singling you out. I was referring to several. If you'll notice, I always used plural. I chose that particular post because it was one of the rudest and most sarcastic. It is very obvious that you do not care what others think. However a Christian should care. We are to be an example of Christ. Have you ever heard, "We may be the only Bible some people ever read"?

I do not always agree with Ed. There have been times he has really irritated me. But I hope I have never insulted him or anyone else here.

I will quote this one more time.
Tolerance says, "You must approve of what I do."
Love responds, "I must do something harder; I will love you, even when your behavior offends me."

This was a command of Jesus.

BYS,

You have insulted me and others. You aren't as direct about it as some. I'm not upset about anything. I know that I'm nothing anyone says I am (or insinuates) simply because they say it. It is not a true statement that I do not care what others think. I'm not out to crush people. It is hard to read tone and true intent on the internet. However, again, I'm very direct. I say what I mean and I don't sugarcoat. If I have offended you BYS, I apologize.

Let's move on shall we? I will promise to be more cognizant of things I say.

Btw, your potato salad was a hit.

CS,
My intent was never to insult. I too apologize and agree to move on.

I'm glad the potato salad was a hit. I hope you put the eggs in. I can't believe I forgot them. Have a good weekend.

Why aren't Christians permitted to insult? I understand you are supposed to adhere to the image of Christ, but I don't think he ever said not to insult.

The verse that is often misinterpreted and used out of context…”turn the other cheek” Jesus was speaking in context of a verbal insults.

That's one reason I haven't responded to CS verbal abuse.
