Monster washes ashore - what is this thing?

Check out the video. It looks like some sort of mutant dog or something.

I say it's a pug or a boston terrier. Most of the skin is missing for some unknown reason. At first I figured some hungry fish must have fed on the remains but when I really looked at it, it looks like it was skinned. Gross and disturbing. It definitely looks like a dog and judging from the facial features, one of those two breeds would be my best guess. If you happen to hear if anyone determines what it was, let us know.
