Jesus and Gates

You can go around to boards and learn a lot about humans. If you mention something good about Jesus you may be attacked or censored. But if you say anything bad about Bill Gates you can expect a whole lot of just average people will jump in and take a bullet for him. Why? Bill did only the things that made him money. We had a benefit by his work. But he did the things he did only with money in mind.I just don't see how people miss that fact. Then maybe if Jesus would have made several billion he would have had more defenders.

I know that the general sense is that Jesus was poor, he wasn't. He was never short of a few shekels.
And personally, I wouldn't want a man telling me how to be successful when he was walking around in rags either(Jesus didn't).
Jesus had learned a trade by his earthly father, Joseph before his calling came. A carpenter was a very skilled well paid job then. Jesus' father was quite able to leave his work to go to Bethlehem with his wife and rent a room but the inns were all full. Being born in a manger was to fullfil scripture.
Joseph had plenty of wealth to flee to Egypt before Herod could kill the child too.It helped that the gifts of the wise men came when Jesus was just little more than a toddler.(They never came to the stable either).

I admire Bill Gates. He found a system and knew just how to make it pay. Wish I'd have thought of it but then, I am not computer minded. I am more a mechanical man.

Jesus spoke often about the scribes and pharisees .He had little good to say on the high society folks. There are very rich men I do admire. One for example is Hartley D Peavey who has guitar and electronics factory. If you buy a guitar from his company then it is your property. You use it as you see fit.You can sell it if you like. You have something that you can see and feel. Peavey has not made an effort to be a monopoly and put everyone else out of business. But he is among to top on his kind of products. His dad was not a banker. He owned a music shop. Peavey worked in his dads shop and started building amps because most were over priced. He gave me a guitar. I had it up until last Friday.Gave it to my younger kin who just spent 15 months in Iraq. It I had gave him my XP CD he could not have used it. Jesus had a guy he picked to tend to his money. The guy was named Judas.Money was a big thing in the life of Judas. Jesus told one man this. It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. I doubt they talk much about this on some christian TV programs.

RE: Jesus and Gates

>>>>>>It is not the WEALTH that is the problem for a ''rich man''. It is the potential that weatlh has to blind a man to seeing the Kingdom of God.

''Seek ye first the kingdom of God and all these things will be added unto you.''

Jesus knew Judas Iscariot was a thief but still he permitted Judas to carry the bag. He could afford his pilfering.<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< So,What do you think Gates spends more time on? Thinking of money or Jesus?

RE: Jesus and Gates

Last time I checked, it was still up for grabs whether or not Jesus even existed as a real person. I don't think that taking it as fact is honest.

Even if he did exist, we can't assume he had supernatural powers, because we have no proof of supernatural existence. Does anyone want to stop asserting deities and give some evidence for their case?
