RE: Iran Gen.: Our finger is always on the trigger
I say, if Israel doesn't want a threat like Iran, then they should invade. Why are we even worried about all of this? Oh, wait.. because for some reason a lot of Christians in the U.S. feel that Israel is the chosen land, with god's chosen people. That's right, we're mixing our politics with our superstitions! A new administration SHOULD attempt negotiations again, especially after the last 8 years of pre-emptive war doctrines in this country.

The ISRAELITES were originally God's chosen people.
The tribes of the Israelites were God's children.
BUT, with the coming of Jesus, fulfilling the prophecy throughout in the scriptures in every way, the temple veil separating the Holy of Holies from men was torn in two; symbolising that God was now with men and not in temples.
The JERUSALEM,(Not Israel itself) of old was a holy(separate) city.
But the new Jerusalem spoken of is in us as Christians. Revelation tells us there will be a new Earth and a new Jerusalem.
The 'Holy land is interesting historically, but I doubt very much that the Lord is interested in defending it from a bunch of sand lizards.
His interest is reaching out to men.
The Jews are special to America for one big reason. Their homeland, spiritual or otherwise is probably the best toehold we have in a volatile region, politically.
And every one of those nations who want Israel finished know they haven't a snowball's chance in hell of defeating their superior army.

Military foothold I can understand. All of the other reasons are superstition.

The U.S. has always held fast in protecting Israel. I would think from a humanitarian aspect rather than religious. What bothers me is lunatics(Iran) having nuclear capabilities. We have embassies in their current striking distance. Future developement could put us in harms way.
Doesn't anyone else see the ignorance of negotiating with terrorists? When do you negotiate with someone with a gun to your head and all they want at any cost is your death?

If we study the lives of great men and women carefully and unemotionally we find that, invariably, greatness was developed, tested and revealed through the darker periods of their lives. One of the largest tributaries of the RIVER OF GREATNESS is always the STREAM OF ADVERSITY.
