Exclamation  Dean Koontz fans: New Odd Thomas book out!

While I normally read Stephen King, I pick up a Koontz book from time to time, and I really enjoyed "Odd Thomas". I read the two sequals and enjoyed them as well. Then yesterday I saw that the new one, "Odd Hours" is out! I'm currently reading King/Straub's "The Talisman", but when I finish I think I'll get "Odd Hours" before picking up "Black House" (the sequal to The Talisman). Any Koontz or King fans out there?

I LOVE King and Koontz. Just finished Duma Key by King and it was great. I'm going to buy the new Koontz book this weekend. I also have 6 books by Max Lucado that I just bought at 1/2 price book today that I am eager to start.

I just finished Duma Key too. Very good story. Have you read Bag of Bones? If you liked Duma Key, you'll probably like Bag of Bones.

Nice to meet a fellow King and Koontz fan Smile

Yes, I have read Bag of Bones, I liked it too. The painter in Duma Key, boy what you could do with a power like that! Good thing we can't do that probably.

Dean Koontz is a Stephen King 'wannabe', but I must say, the man DOES work hard at it. I've read a couple that were excellent and have a couple more I haven't gotten around to, yet (in 5 or 6 years Wink). Somehow, this dang contraption in front of me with the funny little typewriter and the TV screen takes up all my reading time.

Yeah, Koontz definitely isn't as goog as King. Matter of fact, I read one of his, I think it was called "A Scream in the Night", that was very amateurishly (is that a word?) written and had a pretty lousy ending IMHO. But I had heard he was pretty good, so I picked up "The Face" and was fairly impressed. A friend recommended "Odd Thomas" and I really liked that one. Actually, I've enjoyed the whole "Odd" series so far. However, except for "Odd Hours", I'm probably going to save Koontz for after I finish all of King's books.
