RE: a new bible

Are these people for real? This language, "lolcat", is described as "In lolcat speak almost everything is mispelled. Think baby talk, but with a cat flair." So, you misspell words, speak immaturely, and somehow put a "cat flair" to it. This is why kids can't read these days. Have you heard about kids using chat shorthand on their school papers? Can you imagine being a teacher and you get a 10 page research paper that's peppered with words like "lol", "ty", and "omg"? Really you can't even call them words. But kids will use them because that's what they're used to and they probably know it better than they do the English language. Ebonics is nothing but terrible grammar that's been accepted because that's easier than learning correct English. Conjugating the verb "to be" is just too much work, so now we have "I be", "you be", "she be", "he be", everybody be! When enough people are too lazy to learn, we just lower the standards and make it the new norm. Eventually we'll have webonics, I guess. Or how about a new math where 2+2="whatever you can remember, whether it's right or wrong". If enough people had the same substandard math skills, we'd have to make that a new standard. What is this world coming to?

You can be sure that the people teaching that are the same ones who say that President Bush is not near as smart as Al Gore or John Kerry. They know they will have a large number of fools that believe them because they created an entire class of fools.
